With yesterday’s Red Weather Warning and storm Eunice battering the region many of us had time to reflect on the week.  It was a varied and interesting one for BEWI members.  On Tuesday several members engaged in a game or two of Mah-Jong, teaching is available if you want to learn.  Meanwhile, a group of inventive, creative women discussed the May Fun Day in the village.  There were so many great ideas from cooking home-made lemon curd to fashioning stunning bags and eye-catching cushions.  Not to leave anyone out, one of our book clubs was analysing their latest read.  Wednesday dawned and a group of 9 headed to the coast for a breezy jaunt to Mudeford and back with a quick stop for a large coffee.  It’s the ideal time to chat to people and aim for your 10,000 steps.  The highlight of the week for many was our foray to Escoffier, the restaurant run by catering students in Bournemouth.  Everyone was delighted with their chosen dishes which were beautifully presented and tasted delicious.  Next week starts with a craft session and on Tuesday our regular Coffee and Cake morning.  Over the weekend some of our camera club members will be out and about taking photos for the monthly competition and, no doubt, many will be baking a cake.
