Snowdrops and friends welcome

William Wordworth’s poem stated “Yet art thou welcome, welcome as a friend” and whilst he was writing about one of the first signs of spring, the snowdrop, it could also describe Gill’s welcome to the Gardening Club.  On a lovely morning at the start of February, BEWI members admired the white bell-shaped flowers adorning Gill’s borders.

Snowdrops are found across the UK and favour damp soil. They normally flower in January and February and certainly bring a smile to your face.  Want to know more?  Gill is the person to ask.
